Home Safety is ESSENTIAL!

Now more than ever, home safety is essential!

The Canadian government defines Aging in place as meaning, having the health and social supports and services you need to live safely and independently in your home or your community for as long as you wish and are able. The comprehensive home safety assessments provided by a certified Senior Home Safety Specialist™ are essential to allowing older adults to remain in their homes by preventing injuries and maintaining independence. Falls remain the leading cause of injury-related hospitalizations among Canadian seniors. It is estimated that between 20% and 30% of seniors fall each year. This is NO time to fall.

“I think we are in an environment where this service will be in even greater demand. My mother recently died in a nursing home six weeks ago. With all of the COVID-19 cases and deaths that have taken place in nursing homes it is now an important time to help keep our aging family members safe at home as long as possible.”
